Locally grown Indian rosewood (sissoo species). We call is "quadruple bookmatched": we glue two narrow billet pieces together (from same slab) then resaw it. This gives two halves of a top with a glued seam in the middle, but the halves are unglued. So this wood has sort of been twice rescued! AZ rosewood is luscious-- a very warm light brown with beautiful grain contrasts. This set is one of those AZ rosewoods with hints of orange/yellows. YUM! You can offset your body for a cool asymmetric sapwood striping. Gotta love that! Some bandsaw marks in one corner (easy to deal with). Priced to go!
