Our mission at Arizona Guitar Wood is to provide many of the exotic wood species growing in the greater Phoenix valley to instrument makers nationwide. We have two main ways we get wood: from vendors that sell slabs and from getting logs ourselves. All of it is from trees that were downed in storms or were planned removals by homeowners or cities. Thus the wood is essentially rescued from going into city dumps.
There is a huge Arizona wood species diversity. It includes Indian Rosewood, mesquite, acacia, eucalyptus, ash, oak, pecan, ironwood, African sumac, juniper, carob, and more (many of which have multiple species varieties). We don't always have all of these, so check in to see what we have (either contact us, or follow our posts on Instagram, Facebook, or eBay). The wood we offer has either been dried in the very dry Arizona air over years, or kiln dried (from our slab vendors). We love what nature does with wood, and have lots of super unique product with varied grain and opportunities for epoxy resign in cracks or knot holes.
We're a small business, so you will be dealing one on one with a person to fulfill your needs. Our prices are super competitive! We look forward to hearing from you!
